John E. Booth Jr. Scholarship
Criteria
- Recipient must be over the age of 21
- Enrolled in an undergraduate business program
- Must have completed one semester at Indiana State University
- Preference given to students re-entering school or part-time because of work or family.
Donor Profile
The John E. Booth, Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established in 1988 by the family of Mr. Booth to honor his memory. A graduate of Indiana State University, he taught at Mt. Vernon High School before becoming an investment advisor and vice president/branch manager of Hilliard and Lyons, Inc. Active in civic organizations, Mr. Booth was a member of the Leadership Terre Haute, Terre Haute Youth Soccer Association, and served as a board member and past president of the Board of Directors of Community Theater of Terre Haute. Two of his children are graduates of ISU.
